VLEYR TECHNOLOGIES, INC.
Pilot Quick Reference Guide
Effective Date:
What is the Vleyr Pilot?
The Vleyr Pilot is a limited program designed to test Vleyr's technology, marketplace, and service experience in real-world conditions.
The current Pilot focuses on vehicle monitoring and car-sitting services.
How does vehicle monitoring work?
Customers can request a Provider to monitor their parked vehicle for an available period through Vleyr.
A Provider who accepts the request remains with or monitors the vehicle in accordance with the selected service and applicable Pilot requirements.
Who can participate in the Pilot?
The Pilot includes Customers, who request services, and Providers, who can choose to accept and perform available service requests.
Participation is subject to applicable eligibility, verification, and Pilot requirements.
Does a Provider have to accept a request?
No.
Providers choose whether to accept individual service requests. Accepting one request does not require a Provider to accept future requests.
Can a Provider drive or move my vehicle?
No.
During the current Pilot, Providers are there to monitor and car-sit the vehicle.
Providers are not authorized to drive, relocate, reposition, or otherwise move a Customer's vehicle.
Can a Provider use my vehicle for personal purposes?
No.
Providers may not use a Customer's vehicle for personal transportation, errands, recreation, or other unrelated purposes.
Can a Provider use climate controls or other vehicle features?
When permitted by the applicable service requirements, Providers may use limited vehicle functions, such as climate controls, when reasonably necessary during the monitoring service.
This does not authorize the Provider to operate or move the vehicle.
How are vehicle keys handled?
When a key, key fob, digital key, or other access method is required, it may only be used for the authorized service.
Providers are expected to protect vehicle access credentials and follow Vleyr's applicable key and access procedures.
Are key boxes used during the Pilot?
No. Key Boxes will not be used during the current Pilot unless Vleyr specifically makes a key-box or similar access process available.
How do payments work?
Customers pay the applicable price for the service through Vleyr's available payment process.
Providers receive compensation for completed services in accordance with the applicable Provider payment terms.
What are Customers responsible for?
Customers are responsible for providing accurate service and vehicle information, having appropriate authority over the vehicle, providing necessary access, and giving lawful instructions that remain within the scope of the requested service.
Vehicles participating in the Pilot must meet applicable registration, insurance, and other eligibility requirements.
What are Providers responsible for?
Providers are responsible for reviewing requests before accepting them, staying within the authorized service scope, following applicable safety and vehicle-monitoring requirements, protecting Customer property and information, and reporting material incidents.
Providers must not move or use a Customer's vehicle outside the authorized service.
Providers participating in the Pilot must meet applicable background, motor-vehicle record, and other eligibility requirements.
What if a Customer asks a Provider to move the vehicle?
Providers are not authorized to move vehicles during the current Pilot, even if requested by a Customer.
If a Customer requests something outside the authorized service, the Provider should not perform the activity and should follow the applicable Vleyr process.
What if something goes wrong during a service?
Safety comes first.
For an immediate emergency, contact 911 or the appropriate emergency service.
Once immediate safety concerns have been addressed, material incidents should be reported through Vleyr's applicable reporting process.
Can a Provider stop a service if they feel unsafe?
Yes.
A Provider may pause or discontinue a service when conditions become unsafe, unlawful, materially different from the accepted request, inaccessible, or otherwise outside the authorized service scope.
What happens if someone violates the Pilot rules?
Depending on the circumstances, Vleyr may cancel a service, restrict Platform functionality, suspend participation, or terminate participation in the Pilot.
Is this FAQ the complete set of Pilot rules?
No.
This FAQ provides a simplified overview of the Pilot and does not replace Vleyr's applicable agreements, policies, rules, or service-specific requirements.
Participants should review the documents applicable to their role and service for complete requirements.
