VLEYR TECHNOLOGIES, INC.
Pilot Community Guidelines
Effective Date:
1. PURPOSE
These Pilot Community Guidelines establish general standards for respectful, safe, honest, and responsible participation in the Vleyr Pilot.
Vleyr is designed to connect Customers and independent Providers through a trusted marketplace. Participants are expected to interact with others and use the Platform in a manner that respects personal safety, property, privacy, reasonable personal boundaries, and applicable law.
These Guidelines apply to conduct reasonably connected with participation in the Vleyr Pilot, including interactions through the Platform and conduct occurring in connection with a Vleyr service.
These Guidelines supplement, and do not replace, the Vleyr Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, applicable Pilot agreements, Vehicle Monitoring Rules, Safety Guidelines, Prohibited Conduct & Activities Policy, Incident Reporting & Escalation Procedure, and other applicable service requirements.
2. RESPECTFUL PARTICIPATION
All Participants are expected to:
- Communicate honestly, respectfully, and professionally;
- Treat other Participants and members of the public with dignity;
- Respect reasonable personal boundaries;
- Respect vehicles, property, locations, privacy, and personal information;
- Follow applicable laws and Vleyr requirements; and
- Avoid conduct that creates unnecessary safety, privacy, property, security, or operational risks.
Threats, harassment, intimidation, discrimination, retaliation, bullying, abusive conduct, or deliberately hostile behavior are not permitted.
3. HARASSMENT, DISCRIMINATION, AND THREATENING CONDUCT
Participants must not engage in harassment, discrimination, threats, intimidation, stalking, unwanted sexual conduct, or other abusive behavior toward another Participant or person encountered in connection with a Vleyr service.
This includes conduct through the Platform, during a service, or through communications arising from participation in the Pilot.
Participants should disengage from an interaction when reasonably necessary to protect safety and should report serious misconduct through the applicable Vleyr reporting process.
More specific prohibited conduct is addressed in the Vleyr Prohibited Conduct & Activities Policy.
4. HONEST AND ACCURATE INFORMATION
Participants must provide information that is accurate and current to the best of their knowledge.
Participants must not knowingly provide false, misleading, materially incomplete, manipulated, or fraudulent information concerning:
- Identity or eligibility;
- A service request;
- A vehicle or other property;
- A location;
- Access instructions;
- Authority to request or perform a service;
- Service conditions;
- Service performance or completion;
- An incident or dispute; or
- Any other material circumstance affecting a Vleyr service.
If previously provided information becomes materially inaccurate or circumstances materially change in a way that may affect the service, the Participant should promptly communicate the change when reasonably necessary.
5. PRIVACY AND PERSONAL INFORMATION
Participants must respect the privacy of others and use personal information obtained through Vleyr only for legitimate purposes related to the applicable service or Pilot activity.
Participants must not:
- Share another person's personal information without authorization or other lawful basis;
- Use information obtained through Vleyr for unrelated personal, commercial, or improper purposes;
- Attempt to access information they are not authorized to access; or
- Unnecessarily retain, copy, publish, distribute, or disclose photographs, recordings, access information, communications, or other sensitive information.
Additional requirements concerning Vleyr's collection and handling of personal information are provided in the Vleyr Privacy Policy and other applicable privacy requirements.
6. PROPERTY AND PERSONAL BOUNDARIES
Participants must respect the personal boundaries, vehicles, personal property, locations, keys, access credentials, privacy, and other property of Customers, Providers, and third parties.
Access to another person's property, vehicle, information, or location must remain reasonably limited to what is authorized and necessary for the applicable service.
Participants must not use another person's property, information, or access for unrelated personal purposes.
More specific requirements concerning vehicles, property, keys, access credentials, and authorized activities are contained in applicable Vleyr service requirements and policies.
7. COMMUNICATION AND PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT
Participants should communicate clearly, respectfully, and in good faith when coordinating or performing a Vleyr service.
Participants should remain reasonably reachable during an active service when communication is necessary to safely and properly perform the service.
Participants should promptly communicate material circumstances affecting the service, including significant delays, access problems, material changes, inability to complete the service, safety concerns, or significant incidents.
Participants must not use Vleyr communications to harass, threaten, deceive, impersonate, spam, or improperly pressure another person.
8. SAFETY AND PERSONAL JUDGMENT
Safety takes priority over completing a service.
Participants should use reasonable judgment and avoid conduct that creates an unnecessary risk of injury, property damage, unauthorized access, or other harm.
A Participant may decline, pause, or discontinue an activity when circumstances create a legitimate material safety concern, appear unlawful, or materially exceed the accepted service.
Participants are not required by Vleyr to perform an activity that is unsafe, unlawful, or outside the applicable service scope.
Participants should follow the Vleyr Safety Guidelines and applicable service requirements for more specific safety requirements.
9. REPORTING CONCERNS AND NO RETALIATION
Participants should report material safety concerns, threats, harassment, unauthorized activity, property concerns, privacy concerns, suspected misconduct, or other significant issues through the applicable Vleyr reporting process.
Participants are not required to personally confront, investigate, pursue, or intervene with another person before reporting a concern.
Participants must not retaliate against another person for:
- Making a good-faith report;
- Raising a legitimate safety concern;
- Declining an activity reasonably believed to be unsafe, unlawful, or unauthorized;
- Reporting harassment or misconduct;
- Exercising a legal right; or
- Cooperating in good faith with an applicable incident or safety review.
Immediate emergencies should be reported to 911 or the appropriate emergency authority when necessary.
10. VLEYR RESPONSE
Depending on the nature and circumstances of a reported concern or potential violation, and subject to applicable agreements and law, Vleyr may:
- Request additional information or documentation;
- Pause or cancel a service;
- Restrict access to particular Pilot or Platform functionality;
- Require additional verification or confirmation;
- Temporarily restrict or suspend participation;
- Terminate Pilot participation; or
- Take another reasonable action permitted by applicable Vleyr requirements or law.
Vleyr may take reasonable interim action when necessary to address a material safety, security, fraud, privacy, property, legal, or operational concern.
A report, allegation, temporary restriction, cancellation, suspension, or other interim action does not, by itself, establish that a Participant violated these Guidelines or was responsible for an alleged event.
11. NO EXPANSION OF AUTHORITY
These Guidelines do not authorize any Participant to perform an activity outside the scope of the applicable service, accepted request, Pilot agreement, or other applicable Vleyr requirement.
Nothing in these Guidelines gives a Participant authority over another person, vehicle, property, location, account, or information beyond what is lawfully and reasonably necessary for the applicable service.
A Customer request, Provider agreement, safety concern, or other circumstance does not, by itself, authorize conduct that is otherwise prohibited or outside the applicable service scope.
Participants must continue to comply with all applicable service-specific requirements, limitations, and authorizations.
12. RELATIONSHIP TO OTHER VLEYR REQUIREMENTS
These Guidelines establish general community standards for participation in the Vleyr Pilot.
More specific requirements may be contained in the Vleyr Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, applicable Pilot agreements, Vehicle Monitoring Rules, Safety Guidelines, Prohibited Conduct & Activities Policy, Incident Reporting & Escalation Procedure, Request Acceptance Terms, Service Acceptance Acknowledgement, and other applicable service-specific requirements.
Participants remain responsible for complying with the requirements applicable to their role, service, and activity.
These Guidelines do not replace, modify, or expand the scope of those more specific requirements.
13. UPDATES
Vleyr may update these Guidelines as the Pilot develops, services or Platform functionality change, applicable requirements evolve, or operational experience identifies a need for clarification.
The current version applicable to Participants will be maintained through the Platform or another applicable electronic record.
Material changes affecting Participant responsibilities may be communicated through the Platform or other reasonable means and may require renewed acknowledgment where appropriate.
